We Encourage Gatherings to Emerge

We started meeting in houses in January of 2022. We now have a public location to meet at on select Sundays for a time of worship and a discipleship class as part of our City-Wide events which include beach and bonfire worship, dinner out, and parties. We also have a number of gatherings meeting throughout the week. Now, we want to encourage more gatherings to emerge. These gatherings are also described as microchurches. For more details, see: What is a Microchurch? Our goal is to be kingdom minded and focused on equipping disciple-making disciples.

We believe the church should grow out and not up. By this we mean that we do not desire to become a megachurch, but instead grow by making disciples and encouraging more gatherings to emerge. We are part of the Tampa Underground, a collection of microchurches, and Brave Future, an alliance of microchurch networks. We are also learning from both the KC Underground and Greenhouse Church as they have extensive experience with discipleship training and microchurches.

If you're interested in being discipled, joining one of our gatherings, or starting a gathering, we encourage you to contact us or join our class on How to Study the Bible + Spiritual Gifts which is the first step for most to start a gathering. We also look to partner with existing gatherings and microchurches along with offering coaching to disciple-making disciples looking to start a microchurch or church like ours.

What is a Microchurch?

A microchurch happens when WORSHIP, COMMUNITY, & MISSION overlap with Jesus at the center.
As extended spiritual families, microchurches live out the gospel in everyday community, guided by ordinary people and pursue Jesus' mission within their relationships. Microchurches embody the full essence of church, not just a small group.
Difference between Microchurches and Small Groups
  • Small Groups: Built around a promise of community and content.
  • Microchurches: Emerges around a mission commitment to gospel planting and disciple-making.
We emphasize people-not buildings, budgets, or even leaders. When believers work together in sincere worship and genuine community to accomplish a part of the mission of God, they are the church. This minimum releases and affirms creative missional callings to reach the darkest of corners without constricting the form of how they look. Everything we do is designed to serve microchurches.
